How is Authentic123 is Coping with Anxiety?

A combination of things have helped me...I am attacking my anxiety problems from various angles...physical, mental and most importantly spiritual. To heal physically I do yoga, cardio and eat a whole food diet (always try to each fish, chicken and meat - protein is very important in maintaining balanced sugar levels - sugar fluctuation can affect your anxiety ), which consists of limiting my sugar and caffeine intake and abstaining from alcohol, For my mental state I've given up recreational drugs and I also read, watch and listen to soothing and inspirational subjects and music. To support my spiritual side I read lots and lots of books on subjects such as Buddhism, meditation, positive energy, etc. I always take away something from each book and apply to my daily living. I also attend a support group geared for people with social phobia, fears and anxiety. Going to these meetings has really given me a sense of empowerment and inspiration. Last but not least ...is my family. Support from family helps so much. Through all this I am more excited about life and wish I can live to be 1000 years old! Of course I have my "not so hot" days, but they last shorter than the used to and happen less often. Good luck to everyone:) There is hope. Don't give up on yourself because life has so much to offer and everything you need is within you you just have to educate yourself how to get it...and each person "gets it" differently. That's the beauty of it all! I also saw a psychotherapist which helped immensely and I'm also seeing a Naturopath who has me on natural herbal remedies to calm the mind, help me sleep and nourish my adrenal glands and I'll be getting acupuncture. Let me know what you are doing? Most importantly, let me know how I can help you! I'm not an expert or a doctor or a psychotherapist or anything like that. I'm just another person trying to cope with anxiety in the most positive and healthy way I know how. I will be very happy to share my experiences with my healing methods so that others can heal.

To cope with anxiety you have to know what causes you to have it and tackle those things head on with cognitive behavoural therapy. If it is social anxiety and you have problems being in social situations, go into those situations in a slow controlled manner until it gets easier. It does, becuase this is what i did. There was a time when i would have a panic attack going into a supermarket now i can do it without thinking twice. This is what i did and after a year and a half i am going back to work full time. All these other things you have mentioned are good but they dont deal with the underlying cause of your anxiety. Hope this helps!
