P.S. I've never had psychosis or schizophrenia. Just a lot of trouble fitting into the "ways of the world."
When I was 10 I knew I wanted to be an artist.

Hi,
I'm new here..this group looks fascinating to me.
When I was 8 I was dying from pneumonia. They didn't think I was going to make it.
At the worst of it, I now know I left my body. I didn't see God or go to heaven, but I was putting my hands on my blanket and they just went right through the blankets as if they weren't solid. It was fun, so I kept doing it over & over. Anything I touched I jsut went right through it.
I felt at peace & just like myself, a happy little girl with a new discovery. It seemed just natural to me..but I guess being a child made me so accepting of it.
After I pulled through I was extremely so drawn to "God" and spiritual things that I found it hard to relate to other kids.
Adults thought I was odd because I'd spend my free time alone in the church instead of playing outside.
I never told my parents what happened. I didn't think it was that important..just kind of interesting to me.
I look forward to reading more of your posts:)
Thanks!

welcome moonstar. that is a very interesting story about your childhood. I am glad that you had that happen to draw you to God and to see that there is so much more than we think or imagine.
Welcome
