Oh MY, hiareth!
You are tugging at some OLD memories there. I'm either gonna have to look her up or you'll have to tell me.
We may have already blown our cork for this week for the drama. Lord knows, life has sucked for a few of us recently and we've been trying to sort an awful lot of old pain. I haven't got anything terribly wise or even lusty to add right now, but I am so touched that y'all joined up.
Help yourself to cheese doodles and pimento spread. -

I nearly said Mia Farrow, but then I couldn't remember if she was in it. Really, all I know of from the TV show was Ryan O'Neal. My Mom wasn't big on the idea of us kids watching it, but we did watch Dark Shadows.
The book and the movie are both good, but not nearly as sleazy. -

I've had enough drama since yesterday to last me...ten whole minutes! Affection, carnality, Lord gimme some. With a side of lust. -

Thank you for inviting me to the party. I'll show my gratitude by tossing a tidbit of drama into the ring for your consideration. Guy Paul's journal entry the other day about his old friend/love interest made me recall that I had not done any internet sleuthing lately about a certain ex-boyfriend of mine. So I sleuthed, and I found out that the ex-boyfriend died in January of this year. I had known that he was battling a serious illness, so it was not a complete surprise, but still. It was a weird moment. I found pictures his wife put up on flickr - of him, his son, her, some of their family trips, her knitting projects, her other family members . . . and a photo of him in the hospital with a caption that said something like, "Two weeks before he died, X landed in the hospital after suffering a massive seizure. Even then he showed such good cheer." Couple of things here. First, I think the hospital photo and caption were in unbelievably bad taste. Second, I remain amazed by the amount of personal data that people put out there on the internet. Seedy remembrances to come as my way of honoring the lately departed. I think I spot some TAMALES in a chafing dish over on the Heywood Wakefield buffet . . . let me just manuever myself over in that direction . . .
Welcome

Tragic anecdotes. Seedy remembrances. Consolation for the lovelorn, consecration of the loving. -- I kissed you. You kissed me. That's affection, not carnality. That's affection, not lust. You ought to know the difference. -Peyton Place, 1957
