Pay less for electric
Posted on 10/08/08, 02:24 pm
I dont know if every state has the same program but Ohio has a program that lets you pay your electric bill each month according to your income. My bill will be about 66.00 a month starting soon, I have applied for the program. I also changed over to that magic jack phone service for only 19.99 a year so I am keeping my monthly bills as low as I can.

I do that as well. In NJ they look at your bills and avarage what they will deduct each month. I get $55.00 taken off my bill each month. Hugs Denise -

Can someone please explain this program a little better to me. Right now I pay the same exact thing every month for my electricity year round. Is that what you are talking about? -

We don't have anything like there here, unfortunately, and Alabama Power is about to increase 8% because of fuel costs.....along with garbage pickup, etc., etc., etc......

Well, on your electric bill there should be a phone number. That is were I got the information from. In NJ it is salary based. So call and check the guidlines. You should just have to fill out paper work and submit, end of year taxes. Hugs Denise -

Usually the phone number is right on your bill or you can call your energy provider to see if they have a program to lower your electric and heating costs. Hugs Denise -
