Yes I do believe in soul mates. That is a great question. I think I have felt such a connection with the man I am with now that I have used the phrase soul mates but I have to admit I have thought of leaving him (we are not married). I haven't left though I see so much of me in him that I try to forgive his mistakes hoping that I can forgive my own. I love him even if we are not soul mates.

Do you think that there is such thing as?? I am curious to hear what people think about this topic in a day where divorce and break-ups run rampid. It seems to me that today happily married is looked at as taboo... IDK just curious.

Soulmates...Soul Mates....both are such a cliche.
I believe in Soul. I believe in an individual essence or frequency that is unique to a being.
I relate to the commentor who mentioned " in tune with. "
Yes I believe that there are those who's virbrational note is so close to ours, that we do and sometimes can blend as one.
It is there. The vessel is no matter. It is the connection that is divine.
Soul Mates has a romatic wash to it. That is fine if it goes that way.
My opinion is similar to NADAREAL3's. It can be romantic. It can be just about anyone. But, the connection is unmistakeable. -

Have I got one for you. I believe only because it happened to me. I'm a fortunate person. When I first say him, time slowed down to the point I heard nothing. And everyone was in slow motion. We were very much in love for one year. I wrote a poem when he died. I want to share with the world what I experienced. That is way I'm writing a book. You may get goose bumps...here it is.
The night my soul mate died…
I was miles away from home..... I sat up of my sleep…looking out the window…..in an instant my breath was taken away…. I touched my face and looked at my tears ….. I felt a part of my spirit lift away from my heart….. then looked at the clock….I wiped my eyes and face dry….looked out at the pouring rain.…wondering what was just lifted from my heart and where did it go…..I laid back down to sleep…The next day...I got a phone call and was told my soul mate died that very moment…I fell down and cried…cried….cried.

1st I must say that I believe that all of us are like radios(able to send and receive signals, each of us having a different "frequency", and it is the extent of one's ability to use their "radio" which enables us to feel or sense eachother. And I believe that "soul mates" are people that are at the same level of communication and understanding; And therefore have a connection to eachother-AND the closer their levels of understanding and communication are to eachother; The more they "feel" that the other is out there... And also I believe that they often communicate with eachother in their dreams; Often without knowing it-but upon waking they will often say it was a very vivid dream. So if you recognize me from your dreams, contact me-I am kidding a bit but also serious. -

I believe in soul mates absolutely, but i think there is a misconception that this person has to be a romantic interest. I dont believe that at all. My soul mate is my deceased granny. We had a connection like no other, and I feel her even after death, we are connected that tight. I feel she is the only person that truly knew me inside and out and i honestly could do nothing that would dissappoint her. Sometimes i can be at home and all of a sudden smell a familiar smell like her perfume or something or i see someone that reminds me of her, and i know it is her saying she is walking beside me. We were extremely close when she was here and we are still close, so yes i do believe in soul mates, i think she is connected to my soul now. I think soul mates can sometimes come as a romantic interest but sometimes they could be a really good friend or family member as well. -

Would you consider soul mates and kindred spirits the same thing? -

Not sure if they arent synonyms for each other. Seems to me just differnt ways of saying the samething. -

kindred spirits and soulmates are in most part the same thing. The genders of the people aren't really an issue; We are all just beings. I think historically the term "soulmates" implies "mates"(as in sexual patners); But it is so much more that and thus the confusion.. -

i guess how you look at it, mate is also what people call friends in australia and i don't think they are implying that they are sexual partners when they refer to their mates, i do agree that there is confusion i think that most ppl just automatically think the person they would connect the most with is the person they will marry. Which would be ideal but it just doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes your spouse is the one get u the least. -
