Whats For Dinner?

I think I'll have my famous chili cheese dogs this evening. The chili is super spicy, and I eat it with crackers. The dogs get their share of ketchup and mustard. All that gets washed down with vintage Texas Champagne - Coke!

I made homemade Nachos- Hubby always has to have a beer with this meal. I don't know how authentic my nachos are, but Hubby sure likes them, and that's what counts!

All of that food sounds so goooood!!!!! I am going to make a meatloaf tonight with mashed potatoes and fried okra on the side. I don't really care for meatloaf, but my husband and son love it. I'll probably fix myself something different. Maybe I'll make a stir fry with chicken. Yum

I had a spinach salad, with lots of veggies and some creamy mayo on the side, and fried banana with home-made vanilla fudge for dessert! (I attempted to make my friend an Easter treat of home-made vanilla fudge, cut into squares with white chocoalte drizzled on top... it went wrong! Would not set, hence ending up being melted in with my fried bananas. Yum.)

OMG Suze! That sounds absolutely delish. Of course I'd have to read this when I'm starving, lol. I think I'm going to fix myself a late lunch right now. Let's see. There's not much left in the fridge, and since I'm going out of town for a while... Hmmmmm...OK! I need some spinach, bananas, and fudge right now! lol

I ended up having two flamed grilled fillets of Pollock in lemon butter sauce, along with Tater Tots. Delish! I make my own mix of spicy ketchup with Tobasco sauce for the potatoes. I'm stuffed.

OK, I really have to stop reading this post when I'm hungry!!!

Here's what I had or dinner Wednesday at a friend's. He made lightly battered chicken breasts with a garlic and ginger sauce, mushrooms, followed by strawberries in lemon yogurt.

Thursday lunch, I had a Shrimp Mint Leaves (extra spicy) at my favorite Thai restaurant with another friend.

Then for dinner, this friend made chicken with an absolutely wonderful sauce, and sautéed potatoes. We started with avocadoes and a heavenly dressing made with raw shallots, mustard, garlic, two different types of oil, and his homemade vinegar. We finished with marinated strawberries. Delish!

Wow, there really is a strawberries theme going on here eh! Oli, I have to come eat with you some time, your meals sound soooooo good.
I wasn't very exotic today. I had an apple and a banana (wow, so creative), some oatcakes with cream cheese and cucumber, and the other half of last night's pizza for dinner. Oh and a dark rum, almond cola and lime over ice on the side. Mmmmmm mmm.

Welcome
