Body after baby

Posted on 07/23/08, 01:43 pm
I weigh almost the same as I did before I had my baby....NOTHING IS THE SAME!!!!
I have a little pouch on my lower belly that I never had before...can't get rid of it.
I have love handles ( how do you get rid of those?)
I gained a lot of weight in my legs...YUCK!!!
But it was all worth it and I wouldn't change it for the world. All I have to do to feel better about myself is to look at my beautiful daughter!!!

You should feel awesome!!!! I've heard that it is very hard for some women to get back to their original weight and I can see why. You just gave life to a beautiful daughter, celebrate and respect your body for the miracle it just produced. It always makes me mad when you read all these stories that focus on celebs bodies after a baby....like they are normal women or something. Most likely you don't have a trainer, chef or stylist to keep you on track and looking fabulous and it makes you wonder if they actually care for their children...all you see are pics of the out and about, no stories of the sleep deprivation or emotional stress you go through. Don't beat yourself up, I think your beautiful and your body may not be the same as before but your life isn't either it has changed for the better in so many ways.

    Try to stay positive :)

great response natalie. I totally agree... you have brought life into the world thats worth more than the most sculped, stereotypically perfect body in the world! Maybe if u treat yourself to a new outfit or pair of shoes.. something to make you feel special and beautiful just the way you are. Or maybe you could do some light enjoyable exercise that you could involve your daughter in like going for walks with the stroller or even baby yoga!
