Short Term Goals

Posted on 04/11/08, 01:34 am
These are the little things. What everyday steps do we need to take to achieve our goals?

Again, consider my long term goal of the Coding Certificate.
My short term goals would be fill out Financial aid paperwork, complete my homework, go to class. These are steps that we can take everyday to bring us closer to making our dreams a reality.

Go ahead, break down those long term, medium goals into short term goals.

Short Term Goals?....without them, I would have never survived through the years. Some turned in to long term goals...thank goodness I took little steps and goals. I still use short term. I must in order to be able to have the energy to pursue my long term goals. As we age, they r very important, unless we want to be old in spirit as well as body. Goals?..continue to exercise my my brain, body, inner spirit, stay fit in all areas just for today. It takes lots of work to be ready for all that happens day in and day out. To be ready. The "happenings" never stop as we grow older. They r always with us. Still pressures and challenges. I will never give in or give up. Maybe for a moment...but I get back up. I have to.

My short term goals are to walk outside by myself every day, starting off by a short walk and as I cope with that going a little further.
Also work towards losing 1-2lbs every week, and not to give up if I don't always make it but to carry on regardless.

I am not up to medium or big goals yet. But everyday I choose little achievable goals. For me right now it's just getting to the next day. Today's goals were/are go to target buy a bridal shower gift, do some laundry and drive to a friends house. Since no one knows me yet I am terrified of driving. I've recently started driving again after taking a 4 year break. Every time I drive some where it is a big accomplishment.

My short term goal is very short term. But constant.
It is to deal with every moment as it comes without sweating the what if's and maybes.
To feel the urge to pig out, and choose to do something else instead. To feel the feeling of being alone, and instead work, read, walk, ring someone. to feel the good moments and just breathe them in rather that being in such a hurry to move on to the next minute.
To be the happiest, self contained me I can be. realising that no-one else can fill up my bucket but ME. Then taking small steps to do so.
