Question for those of you on treatment

Who is and who is NOT taking Anti-depressants..Treatment people ONLY

and if your NOT on anti-depressants how are you doing handling the treatment?

Bayla (did anti's on treatment) love them SO much I still take them :)

  i've been on 100 mg. zoloft since 1992 and tat is my biggest concern if i must do treatment is how i'm going to do this emotionally. what do you take, and do you know if zoloft is not a liver friendly anti to take, that will be all i need to hear...lol

  I take 20mg of Prozac daily and it helps me imensly. I am even thinking about asking them to up my dosage a little. I am on shot #11 tonight and still have 37 more of these little bastard shots to go and about a gazillion more riba pills. Thinking about how far I still have to go is bumming me out, I think I could benefit from an increased dose of my happy pills.

  Old dope fiends cant do anti-D's, I tried them on 2 of my 3 TX's! They sucked!!! Made me feel like I did a load of Herion dammit!! One had to be at my doctors office that day when I took back all those anti-D pills back and told them to take these and shove em up there ass!! Of coarse I apologize, They didnt understand my sence of humor?????

  I started with Paxil 10 mg. a month prior to to treatment. Nevertheless was shaky and ovely sensitive during treatment. Am so glad I took the Paxil. I had to stop tx for medical reasons. Have continued with the Paxil. Would not stop for anything. Still have cryoglobulenemia a extrahepathic disease from the HEP C.

  My doc wanted to start me on an antidepressant 3 week before I started on tx. I think it was celebrex or something like that but I said no thanks. I have been a bit more emotional on the odd day but nothing to worry about really. I figure there is nothing wrong with taking them if ya neeed them but I wasn't willing to start before determining that they were really nessasary! I figured that being on these Riba pills and interferon shots was going to have enough sides so why add another pill into the situation if it wasn't needed. I have never been into taking pills really as it seems they always have sides that cause other problems. I do truely understand that if you need them then you should take them and I know not everyone is created equal or have gone through the same things so please don't get me wrong on this. just throwing in my 2 bits. I try very very hard to stay positive so that I don't have to go on the antidepressants...I wish everyone well who has to take them as it is one more thing you must deal with.

  thanks to everyone for their replies EXCEPT tattman...old dopers can't do anti's? where did you get that SHITTY INFO?? oh wait..you live in NV where the doctors INFECT THE UNSUSEPTING...CSick..I upped my anti's with doctor approval during treatment..raging on the meds really hurts the liver..again thanks to all expect my GREEN BROTHER..signed TATTMANS SA..
  
  Zoloft IS given to people on treatment. My g/f was given Zoloft and she did a trial..cleared the virus and way UPPED her amount of zoloft on a bad day..hope this helps zoodog

  FOR YOUR INFORMATION BAYLA!! WHEN I ATTENDED OUR HCV CONVENTION LAST JANUARY! THERE WAS A DRUG AND RE-HAB COUNSLOR FROM SAN FRANSICO THAT I ASK THE SAME THING THAT I JUST STATED IN MY REPLY! AND SHE AGREED WITH THE BIG GREEN DADDY !!!! AND IF WOMEN WERE STRONGER THEN MEN WHY DO YA NEED ANTI-D'S DUMMY???????? GOTTCHA!!!!!!! LOVE YA

  I am just speaking from my own experience...Did I spell that right? lol...I could not do antis on tx and can't tolerate them now...I wish I could but they just don't agree with me...Love you all...Tatt my brother...YOU ROCK!!!!

  I myself was off and on them. I'm like Tatt I just can't take them and I've tried many. Just didn't work for me.

  Yes, my puny hine end was on anti & I still am. I don't think it means that I am weak, I am simply addressing a health issue. Mr GreenBeaner:-)~
