Forgiveness

Posted on 07/20/08, 04:49 am
I stole this from one of my friends from another group. "Forgiveness is not something we do for other people. We do it for ourselves to get well and move on."
I think forgiveness is the first cleansing act of love - love for ourselves, love for others, and love for the universe. Once we do that, we are ready to be thankful.
Don't forget to forgive yourself, as well as others. Don't carry that baggage. Give it to God. Be free to love and and enjoy all that life has to offer.
That is my Sunday sermon for this week. Sorry.

Hugs,
vicki

If I may add IMO, if you do not forgive others how is it that you then can forgive yourself. If you don't forgive someone for there trespass against you (or whatever it is that caused you to be offended by them) then you yourself cannot be forgiven.

I agree with centenniel, you didn't steal, rather you accepted what was offered and spread it's light even further.
