I love to write poetry and I like to rhyme. Here is a simple poem I wrote for my grandson about 5 years ago. I do keep copies of some of them. Can you share one of yours?
Goodnight Little Matthew
Goodnight little Matthew go off to your bed
And rest your tired weary little head
May your dreams be pleasant with angles all around
And may you sleep peaceful, softly and sound
Tommorow is yours and you will laugh and you will play
And I pray that God keeps you safe for yet another day
For you are the future of the world and my pride and joy
Goodnight little Matthew, God bless this precious little boy

The Apple Tree
The field, the grass, the apple tree.
Its growing there just tempting me!
Out thrust my hand to pick the fruit.
Snapped from the twig from which it root.
I took a bit and out there squirmed,
A half of what? A half of worm!
