tummy sleeping

Peyton began rolling back to tummy at about 14 weeks. She doesn't roll tummy to back though. Now she is rolling onto her tummy at night and it makes me nervous. I know that there isn't much to be done about it, and I keep telling myself I survived since that is how all babies slept 30 years ago. Does anyone else have tummy sleepers this early. She is now 4 months old.

I have started putting my son on his belly for naps and he is only 2 months old. He is so content and happy on his belly. Sometimes he refuses to go on his back. -

Noah will do that occasionally, I don't like it either but as you said not much we can do. If I notice I roll him back but sometimes he does it overnight. I think that they'll be okay. -

If something had happened, I would have never forgiven myself, but I slept my second son on his tummy from early on - it was the only way he would stop crying and sleep - I was losing my mind. That was before he could roll. My first son did what Peyton does, and my ped. reassured me that if he was strong enough to roll - in any direction - I didn't need to worry. Ben still rolls tummy to back only, so I don't have to worry about it with him. -

my oldest son was a tummy sleeper from Day 1 and it drove me crazy! No matter how many times I laid him on his back, propped it so he couldn't go to his tummy and so on, he found a way somehow! I checked with my Dr. and he said that he was fine sleeping like that b/c he wa sable to roll over if needs be. I would just check w/ ylour D.r and see what they say. -

I used a wedge type of the system for my babies when they wanted to sleep on their tummies.... -

Glad to know that Peyton isn't the only one. If she would roll both ways I wouldn't be as concerned, but she hasn't mastered the tummy to back yet. We used the wedge thing when she was first born, but she wiggles and moves so much that it has become a hazard now. She is such a wiggle-worm!!! She can move from one end of the crib to the other in her sleep! Silly little one. -
