My experience

Posted on 07/21/08, 08:31 am
My SO of 14 yrs passed suddenly and unexpectantly in 2000. As soon as he past he started visiting me through electricity. He is still around but not as often, but when he shows up he makes an impact, even on my latest,non-believer husband. It doesn't frighten me, I get a warm feeling that he still wants to be here...a psychic explained a lot of what he was trying to tell me. Does anyone else have these experiences?

My dog just recently disappeared, May 1st. I searched for her for several weeks and then finally just had to admit she was dead. I live in the woods on a farm. Twice now she has visited me in dreams and on several occassions at night I have heard her at the door wanting in. That is how I found this site, I was looking for daily strength to get through her being gone. Her latest visit was just yesterday.

I found it not to be frightening, but comforting to realize how strong love bonds can be!

When things are very stressful for me, my dear departed grandmother comes around to visit. I know it is her because I can smell her and it feels as if she comes behind me and gives me a hug. When she passed I was so worried about my suicidal mother and sister that I did not cry at her funeral. I pushed my feelings down to care for my family and when I was driving back to work, I knew she was in the car with me. I could smell and feel her there. I cried all the way to work and when I got there my coworkers asked if I was OK and I told them that yes I was, now.

Yes, some people pick up a scent as well, know someone who smelled heavy 'opium' perfume and room turned cold in middle of night..girl who wore that perfume passed a few days before.

My Mom has had feelings of Dad being around. He passed away last November. She says late at night, when she can't sleep, she gets a quick waft of his shaving cream scent.

I so wish we could understand death someway other than dying ourselves!

when i was very sick and in a lot of pain, i silently screamed for a friend of mine that had passed, and he came to be with me. It was such a comfort.

I lost a childhood friend last year. There are many days when I feel his presence - sometimes when I'm driving, it's like he's in the seat beside me. I've even been awakened out of sleep hearing him call my name. My ex-brother in law, who I was very close to years ago, died two years ago. I feel his presence at times too. He was a smoker, and sometimes I'll be at home, watching TV or doing something around the house and suddenly I will feel a presence and smell strong cigarrette smoke, then it's gone.
