well, my grandma would shuck it and just stick in in a freezer bag...ive never done it myself because as i have said in my intro..i cannot grow corn to save my life..haha. i do know that after you pick it, you wanna get it in the freezer as fast as possible...the sugars start to break down immediately upon picking and you want to freeze it before it looses its good flavor. -

I boil it for 3 minutes, then I cut the kernels off and put in an airtight freezer bag. I personally don't like freezing the whole cob. -

I've never done it but....Grandma used to boil it for 1 minute, drop it in ice water, scrape it off the cob, put it on waxpaper on a cookie sheet, freeze it, then put it in a baggie. -

You can also cook as usual, and then put the leftover corn in the freezer. I also prefer not to take up space with cob, so I cut it off the cob to cook it. -

grandma was right - just make sure the whole cob is cold or it will go sour - Used to do it every year so we could have corn on the cob on Thanksgiving and sometimes on Christmas, always very good. don't do it now as don't do the holiday dinners anymore - younger generation has taken over. -

I have found that it taste like the cob when you freeze it that way. try blanching it and removing from the cob, place in freezer bags with milk and sugar it will taste as good as freshed pick corn does.
