Wierd tomato 'question'...........

Posted on 08/13/08, 07:30 am
You think you've seen everything, than something new crops up! My tomatoes are growing in clusters of three....each a different size! Has anyone else had this happen? Should this be considered normal?

The only tomatoes that I've had grow "normal" are cherry tomatoes. You situation sound like how mine grow.
However, I have been told that if I pinch off the smaller 2 of the cluster the larger will grow to a traditional size. I generally ended up damaging the "survivor", so I quit doing that.

I have some that grow in clusters like grapes, some in sets of six or more.I had so many tomates this year I'm about tired of looking at tomatoes. I just made gumbp today using fresh tomatoes.Yum.We had 20 degrees 2 nites ago so so long tomatoes till next year..
