One year I planted Nastursiums (sp) for fall and they were so pretty. Thanks for a really good nudge to get going outside!

I can't plant anything until mid August except okra. Which my Dad describes as "a pretty yellow flower that someone found out wasn't poisonous."
At least the cherry tomatoes haven't died, leggy & not much fruit, but still alive.

i love to pair my mums with ornamental cabbage, kale and swiss chard..sooo pretty. it dies off after the first HARD freeze, but the chilly fall weather really brings out the purple, red, orange in the greens till a hard freeze.

Yesterday was my tiny gardening day.
I transplanted the chives to the old birdbath fountain. (It just drew mosquitoes.) I also planted some arugula & tomatoes. The tomatoes plants that lasted over the summer were drowned by Fay. Funny thing, the plants died but a storm-made cutting appears to be taking root.
Looking for edible flower seeds this weekend. Most chain stores carry seeds based on mid-West & Northern planting times & I forgot to buy them last Spring. Oops
