Compost?

Hello, my friend gave me compost fertilizer....what do i do with it??

    Work it into the soil around your plants, or use it as a mulch. It is a great organic option!

    compost can be both liqid (tea) and like a soil to work in the ground - It's great.

    I use compost when I garden,I usually put it n the ground first then use Miracle Grow Soil on top!

    i usually work it into the soil..some compost, not all, can actually be too hot in nitrogen to use as a top soil/mulch. (omagro would be one)..it will add organic matter to the soil which will encourage good organisms.

    my soil really sucks, lots of clay. for years every spring we would truck load good rich black dirt only to become clay. nothing we did worked. I started using cow manure every spring. 97 cents a bag at walmart. everything seems to grow better.
