Organic gardening tips

Is there anybody else here that prefers to garden organically? If so, please post your favorite tips. One of my favorites is to use marigolds for pest control, particularly with vegetables.

I fertilize with the pulp from the juicer & have any frogs & lizards caught released into the garden.

Compost, compost!! Also, beer drowns snails and slugs- quite drunkenly! It's better than pellets.

I have chickens; believe me, there are NO scraps with them! But, the good thing is they produce fertilizer! And eat lots of bugs.

I have stopped using weedkiller and now in my veg beds I just pull them out. I leave weeds in the border and on the long grass for the bugs.
I dont use slug pellets anymore but the blighters have muched my veg. I pull them off and stand on them before plopping them on the bird table.
I make my own compost and re-use old spent compost by mixing in some plant food and chucking it all over the ground beneath my hedges, or I use it in my containers and also add water retaining gel powder.
I really really want some chickens but my garden is way too small. My mate has a smallholding with tons of chucks. He lets the chicken poop rot down really well and adds it to his compost. His veggies are awesome. SWINE. Lol.

I plant marigolds in my garden - especially around tomatoes to keep most bugs away.
