Presidential Election - My Opinion & Info

Posted on 10/10/08, 10:49 am
I do not in anyway wish to offend or push my opinions on anyone but felt this important to post. Regardless of choice of candidate it is a critical time for everyone to become involved in the process and make intelligent choice.

Obama has set-up Campaign Headquarters near me which I will become involved in as my health allows. Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden will be doing rally in town tonight and I'm excited to go see it.

Again this is just my opinion...also an email I'm sending to all my friends and family.

I welcome any/all other opinions on both candidates as more information is needed in these times of crisis that affect us all and our future generations.

Hi,

I've been thinking a lot about the election and how important it is to our family.

I've decided to support Barack Obama, and wanted to let you know why.

There are many rumors floating around out there, so here's some information about Barack's positions on things I know are important to you:

-- Economy: http://my.barackobama.com/EconomyF...

-- Health Care: http://my.barackobama.com/Healthca...

-- Education: http://my.barackobama.com/Educatio...

This is probably going to be the most important election in my lifetime, and it's something I strongly believe in. So let's talk about it. Ask me anything.

If you are not supporting Barack Obama I would encourage all to get involved in truly studying the issues, values and plans of the Candidates and not the Political in-fighting and down right lies/email rumors. Please base your decision on facts but mainly just go VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

Know the Issues

Affordable Higher Education
Barack will create a new American Opportunity Tax Credit to make the first $4,000 of college completely free for most students. In return, eligible students will be required to perform 100 hours of public service a year.

Health Care
Barack is committed to health care reform that ensures all Americans have high-quality, affordable health care choices. He will ensure that young adults can stay covered under their parents' insurance until age 25, to help reduce costs for young people entering the workforce.

Jobs
Barack supports doubling federal funding for basic research, expanding broadband access, and making the research and development tax credit permanent so that young people with and without college degrees can thrive in the job market. Barack will invest $150 billion in renewable energy projects to create up to 5 million new jobs, and will create an energy-focused youth jobs program to give more young Americans a good job opportunity.

Iraq and Foreign Affairs
Barack opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning and has a plan to responsibly end the war. He will renew American diplomacy by reaching out to foreign leaders and will reestablish Americaâ??s moral leadership by respecting civil liberties and fighting corruption at home. Barack will continue to lead the global fight against HIV/AIDS, double U.S. funding for foreign aid, and work to end the genocide in Sudan.

Engage Americaâ??s Youth in Politics
Barack believes we cannot improve our government without involving young Americans in the political process. He supports measures that would make it easier for young people to vote, such as Election-Day registration and no-excuse absentee balloting.

Global Warming
Barack has been a leader in the fight to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize the effects of climate change on our planet. He strongly supports a market-based, cap-and-trade approach that will reduce our greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050.

God bless us all - not only does the US need it but globally world-wide countries. Thanks for listening even if you don't agree.

Great! I'll send you a box with return postage paid so you can mail it to the MOP for "safe" keeping.
You know we produce crude oil now, that is why we do less with goats and livestock. We have managed to become very wealthy while cutting gasoline in the U.S. by about half the price in the last six months. After we get filthy rich, we will begin manufacturing the turbines for wind power and make our money from turning the U.S. green! We are almost there, we have influenced them from a blue to a shade or purple in the last election.
Don't make us use our goats! Each of our goats are a weapon of mass destruction, depending on what they have just eaten.

Go USA! Still grinning ear to ear!
