Names?

So has everyone decided what they're naming their little ones? I'm having a girl and we've chosen to name her Jessica. We picked out sooo many names! But finally, we opted for Jessica.

What about everyone else?

  We're naming our little boy Kian Maxwell. We toyed with a lot of names and my husband still randomly suggests some like Anton, Alexander, and Victor. Of course he was also suggesting crazy names like Zabolof.

  Clueless, as a matter of a fact everyone has resorted to calling him by their favorite name. To me he is just baby boy. I need some good boy names girls!!

  Picking a name can be such a big deal, b/c you are kind of deciding which tribe they'll belong to. Like if you name your kid Lief, he won't be a football player. If you name your kid Sebastian, he's probably going to hang out with the intellectuals. It's not set in stone, but it really can make a difference. Like my dad named his last daughter Raven. (Yes from Teen Titans.) Just a guess but she'll probably hang out with the subculture crew. There are a few that are trans-tribe like Jack and Erik. Nathan's are usually sweet. Dericks can be a bit full of themselves, etc, etc. I read this great book about it once; I think it was called What's in a name? but I'm not sure.

  I see humanrhapsody's point. And for a while we had different family members and friends putting their two cents in - don't name her this or that, or you should name her this, etc.
  
  But, we made our announcement that our daughter will be named Jessica and that's that! Everyone loves her name.

  We had our names picked out before we even knew the sex. For a girl, Madelyn Rea, and for a boy, Zachary Ryan. We found out that we are having a girl, so little Maddi it is.

  That's sweet! I have a friend here at DS (not in this forum) whose daughter is Maddie.

  Well, my husband and I were having a name war so we decided to each choose one of our favorite names and he would pick it out of a hat... he chose mine, heehee! So Greyson Scott is the official name of my little boy, yay!!!

  Wow, these are all really good names! Whenever names are brought up, there's usually the one couple that want to name their kid something very unusual. Not that that's bad mind you. My friend named her little girl Fauna (no middle name), because she likes animals.
