A simple question to everyone and give your honest opinion. What does friendship mean to you?

Friends are like your spice in life. They perk you up and help you get through hard times. And without friends, who would you shop with or go to the movies with? Your grandma, mom, dad? Maybe, but we all need our friends so we have someone with the same ideas and maybe age. Someone who understands whatever it is you're going through because who knows. They could have been on the same road as you are on now.

Friend is a casually used word.

A true friend in a friendship is one that is always there. Maybe not in body, but in spirit. They care about what you think. They don't bring you down, or try not to. They trust you. They may not believe what you say, but they trust you. And you can do the same to them.

to me, i think friends should always be there for each other. they should invite them to conversations and talk to not just one person, but to everyone. they should make sure they feel welcomed and include them in more things. i agree that they shouldn't bring you down and trust you enough to believe in your secrets. they should always have fun hanging out with each other too. everyone should be friendly to each other too.

just a question: if you said something like "i would give up my life if it meant eternal happiness for all" and someone read that, what would a REAL friend do, respond with something like "oh, you shouldn't do that, its nice but you shouldn't do it" or something related to the question? and if you told them how you were feeling today, would they ask "why do you feel like this?" or "don't be dramatic" or "i don't understand" or anything like that?

A REAL friend would ask you why you feel the way you do. And a true friend wouldn't want you to give your all for eternal happiness for all. The probably would think it nice of you, but wouldn't want you to die for it. They would want you to live for the happiness.

Some friends are like that. They don't know what to say.

Everyone has their faults. Some people just don't realize it until someone brings it up but even then they might not see it.

True. I know I have lots of faults. I try to emphasize them. That way I can see wether a person is a true friend or not.
