I went to my acupuncturist yesterday. He is seeing me once a week until I am back to the "fibro-norm". One thing I really like about acupuncture instead of telling you "its just part of the acupuncture", he treats the individual issues. The main thing he accomplishes for me is to break up the "stagnation" of blood and energy in my muscles. It doesn't eliminate the pain completely but it keeps the muscles relaxed and fairly spasm and cramp free. He also helps me deal with other fibro issues as they come up.

Anyway, after being needled, heat lamps, shiatzu massage and fire cupping, I'm ready to come home and rest. Which I did manage to accomplish until 4:21pm....my power goes out. It's 105 degrees and we are under flash flood watch so humidity is sky high. Power company has no idea what happened and has to search for the problem. Shortly after 6pm, they find that 2 pelicans flew into the power lines and shorted them out. Took them another 2 hours to get the crew and equipment down there and get it fixed. About 7pm, we couldn't deal with it any more so we got in the car and took a drive....just driving around through the different ranches around. We finslly double back past a house and realized it had power when it hadn't before so we came home. I was so happy to have a cool house when I got back. I don't know how our ancestors did it.. How spoiled are we???
