Day programs - do they help?
Posted on 06/05/08, 09:12 am
Hi all, I am rapid cycling the worst I have had in five years. I've discussed a day program with my p-doc and therapist. They both support me, but also not pushing me to do it.
My concern is that the programs are often focused on depression. I am not sure it will help with bipolor rapid cycling. However, I think the support/sympathy and structure could be enough to at least improve me state and help me not feel so alone.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I did a 3 week intensive outpatient program. I thought it was very helpful. The group support is good and you get daily med consultations with the p-doc. -

I did it for three weeks for mania. It helped me a lot too.
