"Nine Out Of Ten People With Mental Health Problems Are Prisoners Of Stigma Shocking New Research"
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/ar...
Just read this article from a UK based news site... "Nearly nine out of 10 people with mental health problems have been affected by stigma and discrimination, with two thirds saying they have stopped doing things because of the stigma they face. Stigma stops people with mental health problems from doing everyday things such as applying for jobs, making new friends, and going out to pubs and shops. It can even prevent people from reporting a crime."
I've posted this article to several discussions and have had some interesting feedback. I want to know what you all think. What does everybody think about this article? Do you feel that you are stigmatized when people find out that you have mental health problems? Have you been affected by stigma or discrimination? What can we do to fight this?

I'm not surprised at that statistic. I think it's not AS bad in Scotland as it is in England. -
