The World Without Humans...

I watch the History and Discovery Channel a lot...I don't remember which channel it was on, but I recently saw the shows "The World Without Humans" and "The Human Footprint." THEY WERE AMAZING. "The World Without Humans" makes you realize how much mankind is destroying our planet...even after we're extinct we set off nuclear bombs and radiation. "The Human Footprint" makes you realize how wasteful we are. Sometimes we can't help it, especially with the world we live in today...but still. If we could all conserve, reuse, and recycle at least once in awhile...we could make a huge impact. I also saw "An Inconvenient Truth," a documentary on global warming by Al Gore. It too, is very remarkable and will hopefully open people's eyes.

If you ever get the chance to watch either of these shows...or a numerous amount of other shows on either of those channels concerning our planet...watch! You may learn interesting things you never knew, and it may even change your lifestyle.

Another good one is the 11th hour. I think I liked it a little more than an inconvenient truth because it focuses all on the environment, nothing about the presenters political life. It's important to connect with people that share our values, so that our values and number strengthen. I have been setting goals for myself to be more environmentally conscious. I got a bread maker! I won't have to drive to the store to get a packaged loaf of bread. I also joined a community supported farm, where it's local and organic and they don't use any packaging. It was like $160 for twelve weeks of deliveries, which works out to about $13 a week for a beautiful array of veggies! Anyways, There are a lot of those movies out there you are right- but my favorite so far is the 11th Hour. Let me know what you think if you watch it!
