Well, though I'm still battling Ed as much as humanly possible, I am FINALLY going back to school after 1+ years in treatment. After three years majoring in French, I've decided to switch majors to Dietetics and Psychology. I'm psyched! (Haha, pun intended.) I'm taking Elementary Nutrition and Child Psychology this summer. :)

How are you doing Rae, and what are you up to?

lol I like the pun. ^_^

I'm glad you're involved in something enjoyable. Working with kids seems neat since for the most part as long as you're with them having fun they'll accept you for you and not falsely or something ridiculous like the majority of other adults.

I'm hoping to major in Criminology and maybe help dysfunctional families or do investigative work.

That would definitely be interesting and keep ya on your toes. I'm not sure if I'll be working solely with kids, though- I'm specialising in EDs, but kids are getting EDs younger and younger, so I might have to.

I think it's so sad to see people who haven't even really developed a sense of semi-identity to fall into the ED trap. :(

I was lucky and had a bit of knowledge as to who I was before I fell into the trap so I've started to slowly pick that person up (along with adapt from changes the ED caused) and I think the ED helped me have a more modest outlook on life rather than overconfidence or stupidity that many people my age seem to have. No offense to any out there... but really I think I'm more serious and althoug I look 16 and am 19, I've been told I'm serious like someone in their late 20s.

What about you? Do you think your life changed in some positive light(despite the obvious negatives)?

Well, I've had my eating disorder since I was 8. Pretty much, being recovery means re-born, in a way. Argh.

Welcome
