If you already have made a group you are in automatically. Every Group on DS is in on the Challenge. The goal is to get new people outside of DS to come here and join the site.
But they do NOT join from the front page like we did. They use the address/link to YOUR group to do it. That way your group gets the credit for recruiting new people to the site.
The Group with the most recruits to the site wins the challenge.

Hi, I was wondering what it would take to become an "official group"?

Hi,
Currently official groups, are groups that are either created by DS staff, or are organizations, such as the Center for Disease Control (CDC), that we have developed partnership relationships with. -

Our group at: http://dailystrength.org/groups/ne...
Currently has the backing from the Medical College of Wisconsin - one of the largest Neurology Teaching Hospitals Complexes in the USA, would having them back us on this qualify as an Official Group?
What would I need to get from them? What does it take to be a partner?
They have given us permission and will be introducing it at several group meetings over the next few weeks. We are also getting some of the Neurology staff to be members and a part of our group so that they can answer questions that we as patients cannot. -

Almost a month later and we still don't have an answer on this question...
interesting.. very interesting...
Kind of like selective hearing... but it's obviously selective answering... isn't it...
DS just hope that all of this gets blown under the bridge and nothing needs a reply if this group doesn't exist in a few days when the Challenge is over...

Here is the link to Nick's profile.

Perhaps you would get a faster reply corresponding with him by private message not to mention a more polite tone of voice.
The Team of DS are very busy dealing with EVERYONES questions across the whole site. If you've slipped off Nick's mind I'm sure he is sorry. Just message him and see if he can resolve it.
Bitching here doesn't help -

Being nice... Don't you think I've tried that already... NOBODY EVER RESPONDS and now... they have an automatic reply message that responds for them.
Just like the over 50 - 75 requests they have had not only from me but from others to form a group... with Neuropathy being in a medical category...
I'm looking into other options for another site... as helpful as DS has been, they are doing a great disservice to those who have neuropathy and/or other nerve conditions by the continuance to ignore vs resolve. -

If you felt so inclined I need group volunteers at the Village Community Forum for me at www.ReBuildingYou.com I love this kid of group work - I think it's probably the single most effective therapy there is for us!
I have a website aimed at helping those rebuilding after serious trauma to "Come B.A.C.K Faster and Stronger" at www.ReBuildingYou.com is now launched and I would love for you to sign up! I look forward to meeting you there!
with a hug, Julie
