WELL I COULDNT READ UR JOURNAL SO I DONT NOW WHAT IS GOING ON BUT MY HUBBY IS LEAVING FOR IRAQ AUGUST 20TH AND I AM SO VERY SAD TO SEE HIM GO. MY HUBBY GOT OUT THE MARINE CORPS IN 06 AND WAS RECALLED IN MAY FOR A YR. UNFORTUNATLEY HE IS GOING OVERSEAS UNTIL AT LEAST FEB..SO I AM LIKE DREADING THE DAY TO SAY GBYE EVEN THO I KNOW IT HAS TO B DONE. HAVENT GONE THRU THIS IN A LONG TIME AND ITS LIKE HOW DO YA FIND THE WORDS TO LET HIM GO AND THAT YOU WILL BE OK AND REALLY MEAN IT AND NOT BALL UR EYES OUT AS U SEE HIM LEAVE?? OR THOSE LONG DAYS OR WEEKS WHEN U DONT HEAR FROM HIM AND U DONT KNOW WEATHER HE'S ALIVE OR DEAD?? SO I UNDERSTAND U HAVE TO WATCH WHAT YOU SAY AND DO AND WE DEF DONT WANT OUR MEN TO LEAVE ON BAD TERMS ...IM SORRY THAT YOU HAVE TO GO THRU THIS AND I HOPE THAT THE BOTH OF YOU CAN WORK THINGS OUT ! -

my hubby will be leving for 3 months to georgia on the 15th. and he leaves tomorrow for state activation to houston. he just got back from an activation.
Brittany....get that pen and paper ready...lots of letters. he will be home soon and right back in your arms.
tleak....i havent had to deal with overseas deployment but have lots of state activations. his unit is looking at possible iraq deployment soon. so i hope he gets sent out to his nursing ait before that. your hubby will also be back in your arms soon ok. lots of letters, pics and care packages...so get ready.
And Kate......B will be home soon! yippeeeeee! i am so darn happy for you. -

Keep your head up. We'll be here. training is hard because ANY seperation from the one you love is hard. If you ever need to unload, please feel free to contact me any time. I've done the training (twice because he was Army N.G. and now he's Navy) and now I'm doing the training-before-deployment stint. I am a great listener, completely non-judgemental, and am more than happy to support anyone who supports our troops. I'll light a candle for you and your honey. -

My DH is in recruiting school right now for 2 months. After being without him for 12 months and then 15 months, I thought this would be easy. I don't think any amount of time is easy being away from our loved ones. All I know is that I'm lucky to at least be able to pick up the phone and call him; I couldn't do that when he was in Iraq. But yes, do send care packages and letters. Even with today's technology of email and phone, they still feel special receiving mail! They can pick up a letter and read it any time of day without needing to have the computer on, so it helps to have something like that. Hope everything goes well for you!
