My little mixed breed has injured her cruciate ligament. She is scheduled to meet with a surgeon next week. She had done the same thing to her other leg 3 yrs ago and the surgery was fine, but I just worry about her limping around on that leg now, since it was her bad leg, but I guess now its her good leg! ;-) Has anyone else been through this and have any suggestions to help her with any pain, etc.., I try to keep her from walking around but she is determined to follow me as usual. If I put her in crate she will go nuts. She hasn't been in a crate for yrs since her "sister" died and when I've tried in recent months she wants out so badly I worry she could really injur her leg further.

She is also on Rimadyl for pain, but I just wonder if that really brings relief.
