    german shepherd dog:
CONS: can be aggressive while trying to protect owner (overly protective)...
can be somewhat skiddish towards strangers, they shed A LOT!!, bark at knocks on the door (overly protective lol) cannot stand isolation so you can't leave them alone for a long time.

PROS: VERY loyal, VERY loving, would literally give their lives for their owners. very easy to train, have wonderful personalities, always want to be by you, have strong sense of working skill (they love having a job to do)
Great with children, good with other dogs, have a lot of stamina!

    Labs. Definitely Labs.

PROS: Very loyal, loves everyone and everything! Playful, always in a good mood. Good with everyone except small children as they get too excited, too easily and push or slap kids down in an effort to play.

CONS: Shed up a storm. Can be more than a tad dense when their hyper nature overpowers brain cells. Will eat ANYTHING they can stuff in their yaps. Have a tendency towards obesity and sadly, cancer.

I also favor German Shepherds, as that is all I have ever owned and understand. They definitely are the focal point of the family and seem to need this. Loyal to the last day...

    Weimaraners for me!

Smart, Protective, Good with kids, Loveable, Not a lot of shedding, Playful, Great Companion and Snuggler, docked tail (great for kids, no tail smacking them in the face!)

No matter how bad she is when I'm gone...like getting in the trash if I forget to put it up, I still love her UNconditionally.

I LOVE my Weim! And yes, she does Weim Whine too!
