Proclamation of Treason

For too long now, we the people of this once great nation have been living in a state of oppression. We have bought into the lie whole heartedly and do not even see the injustices done to us and our children. We have been told what to do. What to buy. What the think. What to dream. Our will and our desires are not our own. They belong to the aristocracy of the democratic, capitalistic system. But I say, no more! This once great nation was founded on treason. Our ancestors rallied against the British monarchy many years ago. They saw with their eyes all the fallacies inherent in that system, much in the same way that most of us today do not. They rose up, as one, and defied the king. Laboring day and night, to achieve their goal, paid in the blood of their own bodies. Knowing full well the consequences of their actions had they failed. And, now today it is no different. The wealthy few want for nothing as the value of the dollar continues to drop. They sit in their high courts and look down their noses at the working men and women, who labor day after day and still barely get by. Not caring enough to share the extreme excess of the wealth they have. Shuffling bribes and kickbacks here and there to ensure laws and bills are passed to keep them rich, and to keep us down.
We have been raised on a lie. Our parents accepted it before us, and taught us to believe in the same system they do. But to what end? We work everyday, to receive a meager wage so that the men we work for can fatten their wallets. Everyday, we struggle to pay our bills. To make every dollar stretch as far as possible, so that when we retire after twenty or thirty years of servitude we find out that all that is due to us is not accessible. We pay into the Social Security funds all our lives to be told that there are no benefits for us. Weâ??re told that after laboring away the best years of our lives, when it is finally time to enjoy life, to travel, and relax, we cannot. We must continue to work until the day we die.
I say no more! I say it is time we stand together again, just like in the days of old. Banded together as one voice, as one people, as one American nation, and decree enough! We must rise up and take what is rightfully ours. No one is going to give it to us, that much is easy to see. We have been robbed from for far too long and it is time to take action! We must throw down these bonds. Fight for what is ours. Show them that we will not sit idly by any longer, believing what their media wants us to believe. We will not buy their products any more. We will not be stepped on. All men and women in this country will be equal. No rich, no poor, no black, no white, just American.
But, I am only one man, I cannot expect results standing alone, which is why, I write this Proclamation to my American brothers and sisters. I hope you will not continue to turn a blind eye to the atrocities that are happening every day. Though I know many of you will not stand with me. You donâ??t care about such things as liberty, justice, and human rights. All you care for is your iPods, and skin cream, and MTV. And for that, you are worse then those we wish to overthrow. You think your technology will save you. You think as long as you have all your electronic gadgets that make your life so easy, why worry. Iâ??ll tell you why to worry. Your gadgets will fail. Your pockets will become empty. And then what? You will be another nameless, face wandering about looking for handouts and receiving none. It will you who sees far too late the inadequacies of the system you love so much. It will be you who suffers the most, not expecting to ever be the downtrodden, which you have been all your lives. It will be you, also, who receives no mercy from the ruling class. Then, you will want to join our struggle, but there will be no place for you in our ranks. You will be on your own and will have to find your own way.
A great traitor once said â??Give me liberty, or give me death.â?? There really are no better words, even in todayâ??s world. I will not live my life a slave any longer. We deserve that which is owed to us. We deserve a country where there are no food lines. Where the destitute are helped back onto their feet, rather than swept under the carpet and left to fend for themselves on the streets. A country where we donâ??t have to steal to make ends meet. We deserve the America of our forefathers. The country they died to give us, not this mockery of freedom. Stand with me my fellow Americans. There is power in numbers and if we stand as one, they cannot stop us. Stop being fearful sheep, afraid of the day of slaughter. A just cause is worth the shedding of blood and the loss of life. A more just cause than freedom, I cannot think of.
