I said it, and immediately felt sorry
But what's said cannot be unsaid
And in that instant I wanted to hurt him
An instant that came rolling like a break in the dam
Where the hatred inside needed somewhere to go
Something to sink its hungry talons into
Suddenly the light went out in my heart
The light snuffed out by the clutching hand that everyday
Pulls at my heart, stretching it
Slintering it into a thousand microtears
The light was blown out violently
By the endless tornado inside
And out of my mouth it blew like foul smoke
That filled the room with pain
Please believe me
I didn't mean to say that
I wish
I wish
I wish I wasn't like this
