I FINALLY QUIT ON 6/2/2008

Posted on 06/07/08, 06:23 am
Well folks, I am officially a nonsmoker as of one a.m. this past Monday morning. These are my stats:

Five days, 5 hours, 20 minutes and 53 seconds. 261 cigarettes not smoked, saving $51.31. Life saved: 21 hours, 45 minutes.

I shall continue in this quit and stay in it. My life depends on it more than ever. Please, don't let emphysema and/or COPD make you stop. Stop now, before its too late.
Peace to all,

Rosey

UGH!!!! I slipped!!! No, actually I backslid. That's what you call it when you go back to smoking. I haven't smoked more than a few a day though. I am going to try again next week. Wish me luck!

I know you can do it, Rosie. How about we do it together? Make it a challenge, that we'll both give up the nasty habit. Moral support couldn't hurt.

That's a great idea, Debi. When people join forces in a quit they have a much better chance than when they do it alone. A group of, I believe, 13 just quit yesterday (8/8/08) on the Smoking Addiction and Recovery Group and they are doing great.

    Bless your heart,
    Shevie
