On a Mission

Attention all dog lovers... I am on a mission for a dear friend of mine who wants to adopt a specific breed. The Goldendoodle. Now she has asked me to search for her, seeing how I obsess over dogs. Anyways, she's willing do buy one from a good breeder, however...I know there are always adult dogs that people need to find homes for. Now she has her mind set on this particular breed of dog and is willing to wait for a bit while I search for one that needs her the most. I realize that there aren't too many in the shelters I have looked into, but it doesn't mean they're not there. If anyone can offer some new places to look or knows of 'one' in need, please let me know. I really want to exhaust every avenue first and make sure that I've done everything I can to help, That One Dog. Thank you so much.

    Here are three possibiliiies:

NEDA (New England Doodle Association) Rescues & Rehomes

and list and search on the www.Petfinder.com site last week there was a labradoddle on the site

and also tell her to put her specific desires in at all her local shelters...they do keep "want lists:

and lastly, as you are a dog lover try to educate your friend that this is a designer breed dog, not recognized by the AKC and no matter what the so called "reliable breeders" say the only motive is to make a buck..and the general outcome is for more dogs that will end their lives in shelters when the next fad leaves this one behind..... note that the cock a poo is no longer in fashion ......you would be doing a kindness for all.... ,.... hope your friend will listen and heed your words....
