Contact hand Dermatitis

My name is Terri. About 6 months ago I started getting a few tiny blisters on the palms of my hands. I am 52 and have never had anything like this before. The condition just keeps getting worse and now covers 1/2 of my palm area on both hands and has also developed on my feet, both on the sides and the bottoms. The blisters seem to run about a 7 day course, itching for the first 3 days or so, then getting painful (which makes it hard to walk) and then on to the drying out, peeling stage. Then, just as it seems to be clearing up, it starts all over again. I have changed my household products and have quit using any lotions, have tried waering gloves 24/7 (vinyl, not cloth or latex), and have used triamcinolone acetonide, mometasone furoate and a product called Blood by Solaray without relief. I have also had a patch test and have been tested for allergies. The doctors say it is contact hand dermatitis but my hands do not come in contact with the same things my feet do.

I would be grateful for any help or suggestions.

" Wow, I've never heard of a condition like that. Had you changed any household products, even laundry detergent before it began? Change in diet, or a new pet? "

" I get it on my hands. I originally only had problems on the scalp/hairline and around my nose/eyebrows. In my 20's, it started affecting my hands the worst. My brother gets it on his hands and feet, and they do just like yours. Stress will make it worse as will any type of drying soaps. I've also found out I can't use anything with lanolin in it (it's in a lot of lotions, shampoos/conditioners). Dove soap and Eucerin work really well on my hands. "
