Please do some <a href="http://dailystrength.org/treatments/Research" onclick="treatmentHotLink('http://dailystrength.org/treatments/Research')" class="treatmentlink" title="Learn more about Research">research</a> on the different types and the risks they bear though. The safest are generally the ones that sit in the top of the puncta (rather than those placed all the way in the channels) but they are not always the most comfortable.

			<description><![CDATA[I have tried drops and the like, and I have plugs now. They discovered that no matter what drop they used, all moisture filted through my tear ducts as quickly as it was produced. I also have chronic allergy conjunctivities (the worse my specialist's ever seen), so consider getting tested for that.]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[I had 2 punctal plugs placed about 3 years ago..one recently fell out and the drops just drain away from that eye too quickly to be effective. will get it replaced hopefully]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[I have a plug, inserted by my ophthalmologist. 
  
 Also use autologous serum, and <a href="http://dailystrength.org/treatments/Restasis" onclick="treatmentHotLink('http://dailystrength.org/treatments/Restasis')" class="treatmentlink" title="Learn more about Restasis">Restasis</a>. 
 Suggest you discuss with your doctor.
