			<description><![CDATA[direct him to a support group. He will need help if he is having a hard time. Bring him here?? Or suggest a support group through his local hospital or docs. office. There has to be one around his home town.]]></description>

 I don't boss him around with it, i don't know enough about it! but i get what you mean about how i might come across as being annoying if i talked in that manner.

There are places you can go where you can een try out testing your blood sugars and taking shots if youre not too scared. That could give you some insight on what he must be feelin.
