Did anyone else wait a long time to fall apart?

I lost my dad and my husband 30 hours apart a little over 2 years ago.I also am terminally ill. I haven't let myself fall apart I guess because I have tried to focus on helping my children through all of this. And as long as I was helping them I didn't have to look at my own pain. I have 4 children 28g,26g,17b, and a 7 yo boy. Hospice is helping the youngest now, and I guess I finally let myself grieve. Now I feel like I will never stop crying. Did anyone else wait so long? help!

Hi,
Yes, I had to hold a lot in because of the numerous court cases and attorneys. I have a son and he had 3, but his youngest was 18. We had 2 grandchildren. But after awhile I fell apart very hard. I couldn't function. It's still hard now because of the PTSD.Talk when you can, journal if it helps. Being left behind is scary. I'm afraid every day. It's hard to sleep. Just try to grieve, but don't let it take over all of you. You need to keep you healthy.

at 1st ,I fell apart ,then kinda did ok now I am falling apart like never before , and I dont know what to do , before ong at this rate I will just slowly grieve myself to death ,I miss him so much ,and even though we have 4 kids 21b,19b,17b,16g, I feel so alone, like theres no-one who understands or think I am losing my mind,so Iknow how you feel, hope things get better soon for you....................

Hugs for you!!! I think everyone handles things differently. At first I went into shock...no real feelings, but when it hits you, it hits you hard. I pray a lot. I think God and His angels help me through. Be strong we're all in this together.
