Your spouse's favorite drink

I have a question for everyone. What was your spouse's favorite drink?

I'll go first. Vince's favorite drink was Mountain Dew especially when the "Gamer's fuel" edition came out. He would always pick out five bottles of Mountain Dew out of the register coolers when we went grocery shopping every weekend. I would always tell him the 6 pack of bottles on the shelf were cheaper than the cooler bottles. But he didn't like the size of the bottles on the shelf. He didn't like how they fit in his hand.

" Dr. Pepper definitely! Greg could go through a whole 12 pack on his own in a weekend.
He didn't like to buy the 2 liter bottles, but cans instead. He said it didn't taste the same. "

" A hot cup of tea, especially the flavored teas, but just during the cold winter season. Once the spring and summer arrived just ice cold water was all my wife needed. I brought out to her grave our winter tea cups on Christmas day and when I returned on New Years day they were gone. Not a big deal but I do miss sitting in our love seat on these winter nights enjoying what ever brew she select for us. "

" Diet Dew...He went to the convenience store every day and bought 2 bottles...I'd tell him the same thing, Rachel, it was cheaper in 6 packs at the grocery store. His reason was he liked to visit with the girls at the store...and it worked - they loved him! Holly still can't talk about him without crying. And in winter,(tmkop) we always had the teakettle on for his Earl Grey tea...I've been drinking a lot of it this winter. "

" Definitely Pepsi. It was one of the things we 'shared.'

After he died, one of our customers who owns a bar at the end of our street (we would custom print her t-shirts) had to tell me a story about something that happened at the bar the day after he died.

Occassionally, when Gary went in the bar in the evening (he didn't drink alcohol...like me, he didn't like the taste) to either deliver an order or to get details on a new one, and one of the other customers, if they happened to be in there at the same time, would offer to buy him a beer, which he always turned down, and she kept telling him...one of these days, your gonna share a beer with me.

Well, after he passed, and she found out he was gone, she bought a bottle of beer and placed it at his 'spot' at the bar, and then someone else, who knew of his affinity for pepsi bought him a can of pepsi, and set it beside the beer on the bar. Then the bar owner brought out one of the shirts we had printed and placed it on his stool. It stayed like that the whole night, and those who had never met my husband before learned of this gentle wonderful man when they questioned the beer, pepsi and t-shirt at the bar.

At the end of the night, when it was time for the bar to close, the bar owner and the woman and a few other customers took the can of pepsi and bottle of beer outside and poured them in 'his' parking spot.

It was their tribute to this wonderful man, who touched so many lives.
