I don't know if you read my earlier post about problems with my daughter but I went into closet and pulled out our tapes from vacations. I have 3 from cruises my husband and I took together. I just wanted to hear and see him again. I couldn't watch much and now I really feel awful. I miss him so much it was so hard watching us so happy and knowing I will never have him back or be happy again. I shouldn't have watched it.

Janet I think you did the right thing in watching part of the Video of the cruise you and Harry went on. Certainly you have nothing to blame yourself for.
I'd be happy and thankful that you have the Videos as you can relive those trips as I'm sure Harry would want you to do. I'm sure Harry will always be with you spiritually.He would want you to enjoy the wonderful memories of the cruises you enjoyed together.

I had been thinking about this topic and I think it might be the voice. I love his voice, i always got comments on how sexy his voice is. He used to sing to me which right not got my heart all aflutter thinking about it. i don't know if I can take hearing it right now. Short funny story: we were at a friends weddding and the singer was butchering "Sweet Home Chicago" my husband went on stage and took the mic and finished the song. oohh was I a full on groupy that night.

It is ok for you to cry and miss. You had a great time with your husband. You are lucky you have such great memories. Try and feel at peace knowing you gave him a great life and you had such good memories. Cry ,laugh and rejoice in the life you had together.

I haven't been able to watch it again. but I am going to take all three to place and let them make a DVD out of them I am not to good with computers and have no idea how to change a VHS tape to a dvd. But I know soon there will be no more VHS players. I know some day I will watch it all the way through.

I don't have any videos but I applaud you for trying. I myself don't think I could have done it, but be proud of yourself. It took alot of courage. Those were very special times between the two of you and should be cherished. I am told by many to think of the good times and not my flashbacks. You did it. Yes it hurts but you took that step. I myself am very proud of you. Take it easy on yourself. And don't let your daughter bother you!
