Because I am so worried about the safety of Sen Obama,I have decided I will no longer bash Bush or McCain during the remaining days up to the election. this is my promise.I do not want a repeat of the murders that took place in the 60,s.

Ok Freedom, I'll try to do the same. I won't bash McCain or Palin' love of country and I won't say anything that might imply they are dangerous or alien or to be feared.
One side or the other is going to lose. This is still close. Just about half of us will be unhappy with the result. We'll have to live with it.

That's a good idea Freedom2 - I will do my best to do the same thing regarding McCain. As for Palin, she's doing such a good job at self destruct, it probably won't matter one way or the other.

It is really a shame that in the year 2008, someones color is STILL an issue. Wow. There was a child's book written about discrimination. It was a Dr. Seuss book about Sneetches. The Sneetches who has stars on their bellies, thought they were better than the ones who didnt.
Another sad fact is this. If everyone were the same color, they would find another reason to hate. Folks with curly hair, would hate the ones with straight, people with brown eyes would hate the ones with blue, etc.
It is a shame that we have not evolved, and we are supposedly of higher intellect on the food chain. Uh huh.

Bantering words is not necessarily a sign of depth in intelligence. I agree with everything said so far: regards prejudice, dumbing down (a catch phrase of late for staying stupid), simply ... shallow is easy to do. It reminds me of not playing nice in the sand box, or fighting over the toys, just plain throwing a hissy fit over stupid shit. The usual punishment for being 'bad' was to get all your toys taken away and get sent to your room with no supper. That is to say: act human or get cut out of the herd. Now ... 'bad' seems to be the prevalent preferred behavior. There are winners and losers in all games. Life is a game. Try to play fair --- just for the novelty's sake!
