Remember awhile back when we had a topic about an edited photo that FoxNews showed during a segment that is more of an entertainment show than actual news?
The other day CNN showed a series of Daily Show clips in which they mocked McCain (funny clips). Is CNN telling us that the Daily Show represents legitimate news or is everyone that was outraged by FoxNews in the old thread equally outraged at this? Posted on 07/24/08, 10:07 am |

This is the original post on DS. Fox and Friends is a useless attempt at a cross between morning show entertainment and the Daily Show, utterly useless. It is clearly their attempt to brand their type of news presentation as closer to Daily Show. All news channels are doing this, it is where the ratings/money are.

If CNN believes The Daily Show is a legit news station, they should close their business. I realize most high school and college students believe Jon Stewart is a top Reporter on a National News Show.... tells ya just how much education is making headway..
Fox News will not show something they cannot validate... from time to time they do take advantage of certain clips and use them in a spoof segment.. can't certain OTHER news outlets look at their own standards and make needed changes instead of always attacking a news group that is honest, FAIR and BALANCED.. something no other news group can come close to upholding.

I think the big deal, and this is the intent in my post, is to allow people to remember how much FoxNews was vilified for this action, yet no one seems to be particularly offended that CNN is playing the same non-news ratings game.

Especially Wolf Blitzer. CNN is the older network and has never made any bones about which way it leans. That's a good part of the reason FOX got off the ground..

Right, And Fox was not even in the running as a Top contender when most of the So-called problems began on Cable TV..
I think Fox had just made its bones only a few years before 9/11.. Look at where the Top FOX Newscasters originated.. the main three networks, CNN and MSNBC (I believe)..
