Hello,
I am new to this community. My daughter (7) was diagnosed with vitiligo at age 5. At first we tried a perscription ointment. But we were concerned about the side effects (thinning of the skin and permanent scars). We decided to stop treating it since it was not a very large area and she didn't seem to notice she had it at all. We worried that maybe when she started school children might notice and say something but so far everything is fine. At this point we are just keeping mindful of on going treatments available and if at any time she wants to treat her condition we will support her in that. I look forward to meeting you. -Jackie
