I'm sure someone has said this before, but I will give this advice anyway. I was addicted to Warcraft III. Not wow the mmorpg, but the real time strategy game.
Anyway, I just left my CD with my friend in New York. And I haven't played it since. So my advice is this: make it damn inconvenient and expensive for you pick up the habit again! If you play WOW and you want to quit bad enough, cancel your account AND cancel all of your credit cards. For all other games, break you CD and don't step your foot in Best Buy! Usually, your addiction comes in spurts, and if you have easy access, you'll cave. But let's say you have a WOW addiction but you quit your WOW account and you don't have any credit cards. So let's say the urge hits you. You're like... "Ok f***, ok let me apply for a credit card... let me wait for that.. then let me get a new WOW account..." I would do something like that except I used to be addicted to a free online game called runescape and now that I am not addicted to this I am probably addicted to DS. That would mean I probably would have to get rid of the internet!
Can you give me some advice? I quit runescape only after I had a bad prothetic dream about it after being addicted to it for nine months...nine months that messed up my life more!

I have made the decision to slowly quit DS by deleting all the support groups and groups I don't use very often, quit writting my journal entries in here and to set a time limit on this and stuff! I feel so impowered!
