I am not sure if this is the right area to post or not so please tell me if there is a better place to post this.
I am married to man that is addicted to his computer game, we have been married for 11 years and we have 4 children together. He has always played the computer but anymore he plays the computer 14 hours a day, I feel like a single mom and that I am married to a child and I really look forward to when he goes out of town. I am a stay at home mom so I really feel stuck financially so this adds even more to my situation. This is sucking the life out of me and I feel like I am at a point that I need to make a decision for myself and for my children. If I go, my children's hearts will be broken (as well as mine) but if I stay I will become a bitter person and pretty much saying to my kids that this is an ok thing to do to your family- not the kind of role model I was wanting for my children. I have told him several times that I am not happy and he admits that he plays too much but he doesn't change, I am so tired of it. I don't know what to do, I miss the man I married and I know my kids miss their daddy.
I don't know what to do and any constuctive advise would be appreciated.

" i play alot of halo. I am 25. sometimes i do play more than 12 hours a day. I would just accept his hobby. Would you rather have him getting drunk at the bar every night ? "

" Well I guess if he was single with no kids it wouldn't be a problem. As with alcohol addiction when do you say enough is enough!! No I am not going to accept this obsession (I do not think playing this much is a hobby so I will not call it that). Either he fixes the problem or soon it won't be a problem- I will find a way to leave, for myself and the kids. So dear redrambo677- thanks for listening but if you ever want to have a happy relationship with a partner I would slow way down on your "hobby". "

" Hey, what if he feels stuck? A lot of men at that age feel stuck in their lives. As in.. "I have a wife, four kids, what am I doing here, what's the meaning of my life, I feel like I'm just going through the motions, blah blah blah"

His way of playing games is avoiding his real life. This is really hard, but try to find the root issue and get him over his mid life crisis or whatever issue he is dealing with! "
