VA's My HealtheVet Online

As many of you may or may not know, the VA has for the last year or two been expanding the capabilities of the "My HealtheVet" Online website where we can go online and order prescription refills, check our prescription history, etc., etc. The website, for those who haven't registered yet, is:

http://www.myhealth.va.gov/

The VA is evaluating adding additional functionality, like adding online access to our medical records, email/chat with our docs, appointment management, etc., etc. Already bench testing access at some sites.

Registration is a two step process, one part online, one part in person where the VA verifies that the "online" vet and the "in person" vet is one and the same. On you next visit, you may be able to combine both steps at a computer kiost at patient library then with a stop at patient records.

If you're already using My HealtheVet Online, what do you think? For me, ordering the prescription refills and reviewing the refill history plus the info on all the drugs sold me.

" I have been using myhealthevet for about 8 months and I find it very useful. I look forward to the time when they post lab results on the site as well. I have added ALL of my prescriptions and other health information including immunizations so I have everything in one place and I can log into my account from any computer. "
