I have had my fathers few bits of paper for a while. Very little info due to what he did and where in 6 year. Most still not open. How long is long enough to keep things sealed?

" Down under here, after WW2, all records were sealed for 50 yrs. After that time familys could have access to them, which of course meant children of as most wives had passed on, but not all. I applied and only got a couple of pieces of paper with very little info, explaining because of what he was involved in and where, his records of that are still sealed. Memories I would like to have, but no idea how much longetr they will be kept sealed down here. May be different in usa. "
