I am almost 38 with no biological children, guess I missed out. My girlfriend and I are talking about vasectomy. She has a 5 year old boy and really doesnt want to have another. I have been thinking that I do not want to raise a child into my 60's. Help!!!

I think you're the best one to answer that questions, really. Try to project yourself 20 years in the future and how you might feel with a child of your own blood and without. Any difference in how you feel? If you're not sure if you'd feel different, maybe doing something that seals off that possibility isn't right at this time.

Well, it's really up to you. Something to keep in mind is that you should expect a long recovery instead of a short recovery. I was expecting a short recovery like most men experience 3 days or so. But my LUCK !! It has been 8 days and it still hurts not as much but it hurts. Read my post and good luck.

I belive you already made up your mind when you stated you have no children of your own, I believe you want kids and if I was you I would wait someday you may have your own.. know one said you could not... just don't accept anything your time may be right around the corner.
