I noticed that there doesn't seem to be a lot of posts especially by those under 40 that have had or are currently dealing with endometrial cancer.
I was 36 when I was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer. If it hadn't have been for the fact that my DH and I were TTC the cancer probably would have gone untreated for a VERY long time since I didn't have any symptoms indicating a problem. The endometrial cancer was caught extremely eary. I'm not sure what stage it was at. The Dr. did recommend a hysterectomy but also gave us the option of trying Megace for 3 months. If the Megace had not worked, he said he would push for a hysterectomy. Thankfully, the Megace worked and the cancer is now in remission. We received the good news the day before DH and I had our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Since May 2006, I've had 5 additional biopsy's and/or D&C's w/ hysterocopy to make sure the cancer has not returned. We continue to try having a baby. In November 2006, we did get pregnant but miscarried. Now, as of 10/30, we are in the 2 week wait after our 3rd IVF cycle. We have 2 more Frozen Embryo Cycles and 1 IVF cycle that we can do if this IVF cycle does not work. Pam Posted on 11/06/07, 11:11 am |
