I have a problem it seems with my bladder. I can sit down and drink anything from soda to juice and my bladder gets too full and sometimes I don't make it to the restroom in time. It is really embrassing. I think I may have over active bladder. However I sometimes I can just cut, but not without messing something up. I've been to my stomach doctor and he thinks there is something wrong in my stomach as well. Like I may have ulcers or a slight chance of cancer. Would any of those effect one's bladder? I'm desperate and I would like to see this problem fixed if I can get it that way. Any help or thoughts are helpful

Really, the best thing you can do is talk to a doctor / urologist. You can check the symptoms against a list of the types of incontinence but that doesn’t really get you anywhere. If you have suffered any lower back or groin injury, it could impact your bladder, the urinary sphincter, and or the nerves connecting them.
If you feel that you have to go and start to leak soon after, then that would be urge incontinence or an “overactive bladder” though that term can mean many things. The bottom line is if you are peeing or leaking without intentionally meaning to do so, you are incontinent and should immediately see a doctor. Chances are it will not fix itself. If you have a strong urge often but can control it, you should still see a doctor because it could mean there are other issues. I wouldn’t immediately suspect cancer but it is a remote possibility so you should get check out ASAP. Seeing a urologist and getting all the tests is not always pleasant but most likely your general practitioner will give you a once-over and refer you to a urologist. The first visits to a urologist are mostly Q&A and perhaps some light tests. It would be a good idea to start a log of when you urinate both intentionally and unintentionally. Note the time and weather it was a normal flow and if not how. Also check for color and any other types of discharge. (yes, even with women.) Inspect your underwear for any signs of small leaks. You can usually leak without knowing about it. Small amounts get absorbed by clothing without you knowing about it.

Thanks. I know I will be calling my doctor in the morning, because not only have I had a back injury, but my gallbladder doesn't work either. I pray that it is nothing bad and something that can be solved. I thank you so much for replying. :-)

Hi I just joined and was going through the discussions and I have the same problem. I feel an urge and wet myself soon after, the doctor and urologist both have said it is an over active bladder. I dont think you have anything to worry about but still a doctor's visit wouldnt hurt. I hope everything works out for you.
